Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our healthcare team. The Surgical Technician will assist in the preparation and operation of surgical procedures, ensuring the sterile field is maintained, equipment is ready for use, and the surgical team has the necessary instruments and supplies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room (OR) by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile, organized, and ready for use.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery and immediately address any breaches to sterility.
• Prepare patients for surgery by positioning them on the operating table, covering them with sterile drapes, and ensuring proper monitoring devices are attached.
• Sterilize, clean, and disinfect surgical instruments, and maintain proper storage procedures for future use.
• Assist in preparing patients for post-operative care by ensuring they are safely transported to recovery areas.
• Monitor and ensure the availability of all necessary surgical equipment and supplies, troubleshooting equipment as needed.
• Document surgical procedures, including instruments used, and assist with the maintenance of patient records.
• Participate in the maintenance and inspection of surgical equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to minimize risks to patients and the surgical team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure smooth operation and effective teamwork during surgeries.
