We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Travel Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee and manage construction projects across various locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, reading blueprints, contract management, scheduling, quality control, and safety management. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires frequent travel to different project sites.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, manage project development, and ensure completion within the given time and budget constraints.
2. Manage and coordinate with subcontractors effectively to ensure smooth operations and timely project delivery.
3. Read, interpret, and implement blueprints accurately to ensure proper construction.
4. Handle contract management, including negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.
5. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
6. Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring that all work adheres to set standards and specifications.
7. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
8. Regularly communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
9. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. Previous wood frame multifamily project experience required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in subcontractor management, blueprint reading, contract management, scheduling, quality control, and safety management.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to read, interpret, and implement complex blueprints accurately.
7. Proficient in project management software and tools.
8. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Ability to travel frequently to different project sites.
10. Valid driver’s license.
11. OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
