Job Responsibilities: Educate patients and their family members about speech disorders, including their causes, whether related to disabilities, traumatic events, or other factors. Maintain detailed records of student conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards. Report patient progress and current status to appropriate parties, including family members, teachers, or medical professionals, as needed. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for students, contributing expertise to support each student’s unique needs. Consult with teachers, parents, or medical providers to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for patients. Provide rehabilitative assistance to help patients achieve their speech and communication goals, tailoring interventions to individual needs. Job Requirements: Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments. Excellent coaching, verbal, and written communication skills. Attentive and caring, with the ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Relevant training and/or certifications as a Speech Pathologist. CCC-SLP Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology). Active [STATE] Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist or in a similar role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
