- Job pays $2,522 per week
- Contract duration is 13 weeks
- Work hours are 5 days a week, 8am-4:30pm
- Job location is in Dallas, Texas
- Unit has approximately 1000 beds
- Staff consists of 8 to 10 full-time and PRN Speech Therapists (STs)
- Day shift staff includes 3 to 4 Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for adult patients
- Patient ratio is 8 to 12 patients per therapist, depending on evaluations/treatments
- Equipment used includes Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) for ST
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Meditech
- Required skills include experience in acute care or inpatient rehab with adult population and competency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- Preferred skills include experience in acute care and inpatient rehab
- Typical procedures performed include dysphagia evaluations and treatments, cognitive evaluations and treatments, and PMV evaluations
- Ideal candidate should be flexible, a team player, collaborative, and confident
- Required certification includes SLP license and ASHA recommendation
- Floating areas include acute care and inpatient rehab speech therapy for adults
- Dress code requires forest green scrubs
- Weekend shifts are rotating, no on-call duty
