Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: RRT Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Must hold an active IL license or be in the application process Certifications: BLS and RRT required Must-Have: - Experience in Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department - Skills with airway management devices and suctioning, including endotracheal tube, extubation, intubation assist, nasal and oral airway placements, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy - Nebulizer skills with hand-held, T-Piece, and Trach collar - Oxygen therapy skills, including bag and mask, ET tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula, T-Piece, Trach Collar, and Venturi Masks - Ventilator management skills, including BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation - Cerner experience required Job Description: - Work night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:00 to 06:30 - First-time applicants are accepted - Required to work every other weekend - On-call duties required as needed - Must have skills and experience specific to the position and meet facility needs - Must discuss block schedule requests with manager - RTO restrictions ideally no more than 5 days - Work in various settings within the hospital and possibly at nearby affiliate hospitals - Experience in trauma Level I and II, teaching hospital, and community hospital is preferred - Modules completion is required virtually on the first day, then annually - Orientation consists of 16 non-billable hours
