About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) **Job Specialty:** Operating Room (OR) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 10-hour days, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years **License:** Required to submit **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, COVID Vaccine Required **Must-Have:** - Experience in a fast-paced operating room environment - Ability to be on-call with a 30-minute response time **Job Description:** - Work in a unit with 7 suites and handle 18-20 cases per day. - Collaborate with a charge nurse and operating room techs. - Participate in some night and weekend on-call duties, including one weeknight per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month. - Weekend work is not required for RN staff but is required for CSTs. - Scrub duties are not mandatory but preferred for RNs. - Variable shifts including 8-hour or 10-hour schedules. - Floating duty restricted to pre and post-operative units only. - Perform in acute care settings, managing common cases like laparoscopic, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, uro, GYN, and ENT. - Participate in 12-hour on-call shifts during holidays. - Work with provided scrub colors. - Utilize Cerner EMR charting system. - Participate in a floor-specific orientation program. - Hold certifications in ACLS and BLS. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working under pressure and managing a diverse caseload efficiently in an acute care setting.
