Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Behavioral Psych Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift 1830-0700; includes every other weekend and holidays Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current Illinois RN license Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - B.S.N. preferred or equivalent years of experience - Demonstrated clinical competence - Ability to operate standard office equipment - Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds - Ability to provide age-specific nursing care - Excellent communication and teamwork skills Job Description: - Manage and coordinate nursing care activities for clients in the Behavioral Health Services unit - Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures - Direct other personnel involved in client care - Administer medications, record information accurately, and comply with infection control policies - Provide emergency care as needed and participate in training programs - Maintain a safe environment and monitor client behaviors - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members - Support organization's mission and philosophy through exemplary behavior - Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and group therapies Note: This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an at-will employment relationship.
