About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Psych Job Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Shifts - 12 Hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours: PRN with possible 24-hour shift cancellation for any scheduled shifts Experience: Minimum of 12 months of prior experience; preferred experience in Psychiatry License: Registered Nurse (RN) license Certifications: BLS and CPI Must-Have: Ability to perform CIWA/COWS assessments, conduct UAs, and maintain firm, empathic boundaries Job Description: - Work in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for individuals aged 18 and older - Engage with voluntary patients in a supportive and structured environment - Perform necessary assessments and hold patient boundaries with empathy - Collaborate with a team including Behavioral Health Assistants during specified shift hours - Operate using the HCS electronic medical records system - Adhere to a dress code of scrubs - Attend a 2-3 day orientation consisting of 12-hour training shifts - Supportive environment with access to administrative and medical personnel on call at all times - Handle visiting hours every Sunday from 1 PM to 4 PM - Manage care delivery in a 50-bed facility with a patient distribution of 20 female and 30 male beds - Maintain a Nurse/Patient ratio of one nurse during night shifts, supported by 2-3 techs initially, reducing to one tech overnight
