ID: 52649226 Shift: 19:00-07:00 Description: HAVE 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITAL SETTINGMUST HAVE ACTIVE KY LICENSE AT SUBMISSIONBLS/ACLS REQUIRED Hospital: Frankfort Regional Medical Center Location: TriStar Address: 299 Kings Daughters Drive Frankfort, KY 40601 Unit Name: 631 Building: Main Cost Center: 31768 General Information Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 46 Patient 5:1 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Clinical Nurse Coordinators (charge nurse), RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, Unit Clerks -skill mix based on patient census) Type of equipment: GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer Documentation system: Meditech Expanse Scheduling requirements: Every other Weekend, three 12-hour shifts per week Floating policy: May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg), or to PCU (to staff tele overflow) Patient Experience requirements: At least two years of Progressive care or ICU experience Hospital Specifics- Frankfort Regional Medical Center is a 173-bed acute care facility that has received numerous awards and accolades for its quality of care, including Magnet designation for nursing excellence. Certifications: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually) Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: CPap and BiPap management, Port access, therapeutic phlebotomy Must have: Telemetry and EKG interpretation, post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience, experience with Cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions management and titration, CPap and BiPap management Advanced skills needed: preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions Procedures performed on unit: telemetry monitoring, paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, therapeutic phlebotomy Certifications Required: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually) Dress Code: (Required uniform) Navy blue or Gray scrubs. No T-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts. Staff may wear any color or patterned scrub jacket, and may wear any color or patterned long sleeve shirts under scrub top if preferred. NO ROYAL BLUE SCRUBS ARE PERMITTED our OB/LD department wears this color exclusively for their unit staff identification as a safety standard for the protection of our infants. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. Specific polices related to skill sets, procedures, etc. will be made available upon request, indicated need, and facility approval. The unit is home to several travelers who have continued to extend contracts due to our excellent teamwork and amazing staff. We are proud to say that we have had zero turnover for our Progressive Car nursing staff since September 2022. The unit is fully supported with a director and Manger, as well as a clinical educator. We have excellent interdisciplinary communication and collaboration with all providers. We are continuously requesting and receiving new equipment and supplies. We welcome feedback from all staff, including contract staff, if they have suggestions or ideas to make our workflow better and enhance our exceptional patient care.
