About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Telemetry **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 19:00-07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience required **License:** Valid RN license **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIH **Must-Have:** - Cardiac knowledge preferred - Advanced skills in Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips **Job Description:** - Work in a 30-bed unit with a patient ratio of 5-6:1. - Collaborate with a team including unit clerks, PCTs, nursing supervisors, and hospitalists. - Utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry, and MP2s. - Document using Meditech-HCA version. - Administer medications through the WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system. - Schedule requires working the equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule). - Participate in the floating policy to other medical/surgical areas, orthopedic, PCU, and surgical with oncology units. - Conduct bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5P’s checked. - Engage in procedures such as chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs. - Follow the "No Pass Zone" policy for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms. - Adhere to the dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs, with a choice of t-shirt colors underneath (no graphics), and appropriate care for nails. - Be part of a team with charge nurses possessing 12+ years of seniority. - Participate in shared governance within the unit and facility. - Engage in a workplace recognized for awards like Daisy and Bee Awards and iHEAL nominations.
