This is a floating position, candidate will not be assigned to one unit.Experience Needed: progressive/step down experience; phlebotomy, IV starts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, drips (such as amiodarone, Cardizem, heparin, insulin), chest tube management, epidural/PCA management, fall prevention, pressure injury prevention, Telemetry, Post Cath/EP procedures, low level drips, nitro, milrinone, dobutamine.REQUIRED: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSUnit Information: All patients are monitored on telemetry or portable hardwire.*Cardiothoracic/post cardiac surgery, valve replacements, post mitraclip (interventional approach mitral valve repair), lung resections (both open and robotic), thorascopic lung reduction*Patients with chest tubes or Asept for pneumothorax, pleural effusion*Vascular surgery carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop, etc, endovascular aortic repair, abdominal aortic repair, venous thrombolysis, post aortogram*Rapid response patients from med-surg for arrhythmia/rate control (afib with RVR)*Transfers from medical-surgical ICU (respiratory failure, complex surgeries)*ED admissions for sepsis requiring low level monitoring*COPD and CHF exacerbation*Other patients who normally go to med-surg after procedures who have subsequent cardiac sequelae requiring low level monitoring (i.e. new onset afib with RVR)*Infusions: amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, heparinProvides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies and procedures. Directs and manages the care of designated patients. Utilizes effective and appropriate communication styles.
