About The Position
**Job Title:** Staff Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Spinal/General Rehab **Job Duration:** 13-week contract **Shift:** Night 36hrs - Every third weekend on a three-week rotating schedule **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum clinical competence and experience in care and management specific to spinal/general rehab **License:** Requires current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) **Certifications:** American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire **Must-Have:** Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred **Job Description:** - Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in an inpatient environment. - Demonstrate competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. - Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient health and/or the situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes. - Implement the identified plan and evaluate progress towards the attainment of outcomes. - Engage in lifelong learning and professional knowledge and competence development related to current nursing practice. - Communicate effectively in all practice areas, assessing personal communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues. - Seek continuous improvement in communication and conflict resolution skills. - Provide and share educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers. - Contribute a professional perspective in discussions with the interprofessional team.
