Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse - Resource Pool Float Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical and Critical Care Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 3rd shift, 12-hour nights, every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 18 months of recent Medical-Surgical or Critical Care hospital nursing experience License: Current Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) if working in Critical Care Must-Have: Competency in telemetry, including passing a telemetry test which includes knowledge-based questions and rhythm interpretations Job Description: - Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of patients - Work primarily in Medical-Surgical or Critical Care Resource Pool - Provide care for an adult population - May be assigned to the Emergency Department boarding, Observation unit, and Extended Recovery unit, with potential to float to other medical-surgical departments - Must demonstrate proficiency in delivering patient care - Contribute to patient safety and quality standards, adhering to institutional policies and guidelines - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
