About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical/Telemetry **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required. Must have 18 months permanent MS/Tele experience before travel. **License:** Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand. **Certifications:** BLS & ACLS required, NIHSS certification must be obtained before start. **Must-Have:** - Two recent references from a manager, assistant manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation with an acceptable score required. - BG hits reviewed by the facility; must not have an open case. - Must complete onsite fingerprints for badging and complete all required modules prior to start. **Job Description:** - Perform and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. - Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. - Monitor and document patients' vitals, symptoms, and medical histories. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. - Respond to changes in patients' conditions and report any adverse events. - Educate patients and their families on illness management and prevention strategies. - Ensure compliance with established health and safety regulations and standards. - Utilize electronic medical records to maintain accurate patient records. - Participate in and complete mandatory training and orientation sessions successfully. **Note:** The facility has specific guidelines regarding background checks and does not accept candidates with license hits. Facial hair exemptions for protective equipment are not allowed without a medical or religious exemption.
