About The Position
**Job Title**: Registered Nurse **Profession**: Nursing **Specialty**: Med/Surg Telemetry - Urology **Duration**: 13 Weeks **Shift**: Day/Night Rotation **Hours per Shift**: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30; 19:00 - 07:30) **Experience**: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience **License**: Permanent Ohio License or Compact State License **Certifications**: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Must-Have**: - Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in the specialty applied for prior to travel assignments - Ability to work at least every other holiday - ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate completion during orientation with an acceptable score required **Description**: The role involves working in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on Urology. Candidates will rotate shifts every two weeks, working 3x12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7:30 am and 7 am to 7:30 pm. A minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required. Applicants must have at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty before applying for this travel position. A valid Ohio license or a compact state license is necessary. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The candidate must be prepared to work on a rotating schedule that includes holidays. An ECG rhythm recognition test and a SafeMedicate assessment will be undertaken during orientation, and passing scores on both are necessary. Candidates must have two references from a manager, assistant manager, or supervisor in the specialty they are applying for. The role includes a non-billable 20-hour orientation, during which tests and modules need to be completed. Additional modules and assessments are to be completed pre-start and on an annual basis. Candidates must be prepared for fingerprinting and badge collection prior to the start date once all required modules are completed.
