About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** 07:00-19:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not Specified **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year **License:** Registered Nurse License **Certifications:** Not Specified **Must-Have:** - Med-Surg experience - Minimum of 2 years recent hospital experience **Job Description:** - Work on a medical-surgical unit with a bed capacity of 32. - Collaborate with a diverse team, including directors, managers, CNs, staff RNs, LVNs, nurse aides, and unit secretaries. - Handle patient ratios of 6-7 patients per nurse, adjusting according to census. - Utilize PCA pumps and IV pumps. - Document care using an EMR system. - Perform typical procedures such as admissions, discharges, transfers, wound care, IVs, blood administration, collecting of specimens, and medication administration. - Wear Royal Blue scrubs; scrub jacket in white or royal blue permitted, no outside jackets. - Work in a unit distinguished for being over 500 days free of CAUTIs, CLABSIs, and pressure ulcers. - Have potential preference if possessing surgical experience, bilingual skills, and experience with Meditech. - Join a team recognized as a Unit of Distinction in 2017.
