About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour Days - 6am-6pm, every other weekend, every other holiday **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year **License:** Required to submit **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** - Medication passing experience - Supervisory skills - Previous nursing home experience is a plus - Self-motivated **Job Description:** - Work in a nursing home attached to a hospital with facilities such as ER, imaging, pharmacy, therapy, and a walk-in clinic. - Handle a unit with 38 residents, providing care in private rooms. - Utilize Point Click Care as the electronic medical record (EMR) system. - Maintain nurse-to-resident ratios: Day/Evening shift - 1 nurse, 2-3 CNAs for 20 residents; Night shift - 1 nurse, 2-3 CNAs for 40 residents. - Manage patients with common diagnoses such as COPD, dementia, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and congestive heart failure. - Perform job duties including medication pass, wound care, catheter care, ostomy care, and supervision of CNAs/TMAs. - Utilize blister pack cards for medication dispensing. - Access to on-site pharmacy and physician availability after hours. - No IV or titratable drips, and no strip reading required. - Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours, block scheduling available based on need. - Scrub color/dress code provided. - Orientation provided with as many shifts as needed.
