About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours, with up to 3 shifts potentially canceled during the assignment Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid state license required at the time of submission Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced (must include all 11 components), Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) Must-Have: Vaginal exam ability/experience, baby care ability/experience, experience with <100 births to >300 births Job Description: - Work in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit within an acute care hospital. - Provide specialized nursing care for women before, during, and after childbirth. - Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2, ensuring quality care and attention. - Accept first-time travelers; weekend work required for 2 weekends every 6 weeks, including potential Friday shifts. - Orientation includes 36 hours, factoring in non-billable modules averaging 3-6 hours specific to specialty. - The facility offers a state-of-the-art setting as a Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma Center with 412 total staffed beds. - Utilize Cerner for charting. - Work in compliance with facility standards and regulations; no specific scrub colors required, but avoid camouflage or character patterns. - Return staff must have been gone for at least one year. - No on-call requirement; staff will not float outside their scope to meet facility needs. - Report to shift manager and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
