About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour Nights (7p-7a) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in ICU **License:** Required to Submit **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS **Must-Have:** - Minimum 2 years of ICU experience - COVID Vaccine required **Job Description:** - Profile review process includes completing a questionnaire reviewed by the clinical team. - Orientation starts every 4th Tuesday of the month. - 8-bed ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3. - Common diagnoses include CHF, AMI, DM, Pneumonia, and COVID. - RNs are required to titrate drips such as Levo, Dopamine, and Insulin. - Both Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available. - Nurse aids available on the unit. - No in-house Hospitalist or Intensivist. - RT not available 24/7, but RT equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPap are available. - Telemetry present; RNs are responsible for reading strips. - Shift scheduling involves 12-hour shifts with a weekend and holiday requirement every other cycle. - No call or standby requirement. - Possible floating to Telemetry unit. - Dress code is Royal Blue scrubs. - Unit-specific orientation provided for one shift or more as needed. - No cancellation policy. - Charting system utilized is MEDITECH - Client/Server 5.66. - BSN not required. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated RN looking to gain further experience in ICU care, while working within a supportive team environment.
