About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years, including 1 year of Trauma Level 1 experience **License:** RN license **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS **Must-Have:** - Cerner experience - Ability to float between locations - Competency in maintaining a sterile field **Job Description:** - Manage patient care in a 36-bed acute and 54-bed subacute ER unit - Tasking and patient management with a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio - Utilize Cerner for electronic medical records - Participate in SIMs Lab assessments for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes - Provide care coordination in collaboration with hospitalists and intensivists - Administer care for a variety of diagnoses including trauma and burns; pediatric cases transferred out - Collaborate with RTs, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals available 24/7 - Expected to complete lift, restraint, and wound care education - Accordion tasks as necessary, such as reading telemetric strips and handling Philips monitors Please note: Completion of orientation involves 12 initial hours and 2-3 shifts specific to the floor.
