Data Collection: Unit Information: CVICU Location: St. David s South Austin Medical Center Building: Floor: 4th Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 63577 Discipline: Critical Care Quantity: Target Start Date: Shift: Call Requirements: Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift (Sat/Sun), 6 weekend shifts per schedule for night shift (Fri/Sat/Sun) General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 8 Number of Staff 25 Type of staff: (if full) o Day Shift charge and 4 RNs o Night Shift charge and 4 RNS Patient Ratios 2:1, 1:1 Type of equipment GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Centrimag ECMO Circuits, Impella CP & 5.5, Prismax CRRT machines, Tablo SLED machines, Maquet Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps EMR Meditech Permanent Positions on Unit? Experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms Experience with titratable drips Understanding of hemodynamics Experience with respiratory patients: vents, Bipap, trachs, airvo Experience with open heart surgery recovery Experience with ECMO, Impella, balloon pumps Experience with CRRT/SLED Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
