About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Utilization Review Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-hour (08:00 - 16:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Ability to organize and participate in family meetings - Competence in arranging DME, SNF, and ambulance transport and performing these tasks independently - Participation in the development of treatment plans - Understanding of protective services processes Job Description: - Weekend requirements include working two weekends every six weeks - Applicants are expected to float between all facilities within a given state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment - Participate in the development of treatment plans - Provide care and support for patients experiencing various conditions, including drug/alcohol abuse, homelessness, and mental health crises - Coordinate services with HMOs, IPAs, and other healthcare settings - Arrange and facilitate family meetings and discussions around advance directives and POLST - References required: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) of employment total within the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting - Orientation includes 40 hours - Modules completed pre-start and annually, with time spent being self-reported - Modules are generally non-billable and take approximately 16 hours, with over 20 hours requiring prior approval - Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
