We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. • The location is in Chillicothe, OH
• The working schedule for this role is Days 7a-7pm; will work every other weekend
• The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed
• Guaranteed hours: 36
• EMR used: Epic
• The pay: $68.06 Hourly ($1,620.00 Taxable, $830.00 Stipend) = $2,450.00 Weekly = $9,800.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
• Recording patient vital signs and medical information
  
• Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  
• Administering non-intravenous medications
• Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN state licensure
• 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification
  
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
• Professional, friendly attitude

The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patient’s plan of care; while creating an atmosphere that supports our mission to care, to heal, to educate. The Staff Nurse, RN as the primary care giver provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physician and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. The Staff Nurse, RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.

The candidates will be asked to float to similar units, and may be asked to float to our other locations: Adena Greenfield, Adena Pike, and Adena Fayette. Will work every other weekend.
