About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certification Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Description: Looking for highly motivated nurses to help on a Progressive Care Cardiac Unit. You will care for a variety of heart failure patients. The unit has a capacity of 23 beds. The population served includes advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, pre and post-cardiac surgery, and other related cardiac disorders. Patients are young adults through late adults, ages 18 to 60+. Nurse to patient ratios are 5:1. The core staffing plan includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns. An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
