About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night (19:00-07:00) Guaranteed Hours: [Information not provided] Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ONS chemo bio certification Must-Have: - Strong work ethic - Team player - Resilient and positive attitude Job Description: - Work on a 28-bed unit with a multidisciplinary team including a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). - Manage patient ratios of 1:4 for Oncology and 1:5 for Medical-Surgical. - Perform various procedures such as bedside bone marrow biopsies, blood transfusions, Foley, and NGT insertions. - Utilize equipment including bladder scanners, Hoyer lifts, glucometers, Christie IV vein finders, portable ECGs, Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines, Alaris IV pumps, SCDs, and PCA pumps. - Document patient care and treatments using the Meditech electronic medical records (EMR) system. - Provide comprehensive patient care with an emphasis on communication and collaboration. - Adhere to the unit's guidelines and policies while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety. - Rotate weekends and potentially work in floating areas such as Med-Surg, Orthopedics, and Surgical units as needed. - Dress code requires scrubs in a color of your choice.
