Job Details

Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16/2024.
RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR.
NO BLOCK SCHEDULING.
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years experience, minimum.
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time travelers.
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes.
Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias.
Certs: BCLS and NIH.
Unit will accept contracts from 13 + weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
36 or 48 hours can be offered. If Accepting 48 Hours, No OT until billed until after 48 hours.
Shift: 12HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15.
RTO: 7 days MAX for Aya Auto Offer.
NO BLOCK SCHEDULING.
Float Requirement: Floating required as needed to other Med/Surg units.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Travelers will be required to take COVID patients if necessary. No team members are exempt from taking a COVID patient with the exception of pregnant team members.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Variable med-surg unit with focus on cardiac and neurology services. Stroke certified, hip and knee certified, colorectal cancer certified, ERAS, general surgical patients, occasional GYN surgeries, hospice, cardiac services, pre and post cath, tele neurology, oncology.
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.
SCHEDULING TYPE: Unit schedules.
NO BLOCK SCHEDULING.
UNIT ORIENTATION: 2, 12hr shifts. Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
SCRUBS: Any combination of navy and white.

Job Requirements

Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina.
BLS required.
NIH Stroke Certification required due to specialization in stroke care.

Schedule Information

Shift: 12HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15.
Target Ratios: 1:5/6.
36 or 48-hour work weeks.
RTO: 7 days max for Aya Auto Offer.
Every other weekend work required.
NO BLOCK SCHEDULING.
Float requirement to other Med/Surg units as needed.

Variable med-surg unit with a focus on cardiac and neurology services.
Services include stroke care, hip and knee certification, colorectal cancer certification, ERAS, general surgical patients, occasional GYN surgeries, hospice, cardiac services, pre and post cath, telemetry neurology, oncology.
Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.
Unit will accept contracts ranging from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025.

Additional Details

The unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time travelers.
Travelers will be required to take COVID patients if necessary, except pregnant team members.
A combination of navy and white scrubs are required.
