About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Med Surg/Tele CWR in the Progressive Care Unit **Job Duration:** 12 months **Shift:** 7A-7P, 3x12hr shifts with weekend requirement every other weekend **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Med Surg/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting is required **License:** NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** - NIHSS - Telemetry - BLS-AHA - CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours **Must-Have:** - Telemetry experience - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications - Ability to work weekends and holidays as required - Willingness to float if needed **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plan of care for patients through initial and ongoing assessments - Initiate assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions - Manage care of patients - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
