Job Requirements
- Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 week of your assignment. Expect 25+ hours.
- Days 0700-1930
- NOC 1900-0730
- 6 week cycles.
- Every other weekend

Schedule Information
- Unit: Med/Surg/Ortho 2nd Floor
- # of beds: 34
- Ratios: 1:4, 1:5
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Orthopedic Patients: Hips, Knees, Shoulders, Spine, fractures General Medical/Surgical – pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, chest pain, Gi Bleed, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, kidney failure, UTI
- Med/Surg. Ortho preferred
- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes/Yes
- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes. 8-10:1
- RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Cpap/Bipap
- Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes. Yes, monitor techs RNs must be able to read basic strips
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: scrubs
Unit Specific Information
- Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA.
- 1st to float
- EPIC training if not used system within year or fail Sphinx assessment. Online modules. 2 days unit specific orientation
