Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30) with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele or Emergency Department (ED) admission experience License: New York State license required Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Comfortable with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio - Experience with shifts and weekend work - Ability to wear specified uniform (scrubs in all white, all navy, or a combination of the two colors) - Compliance with footwear policy (Croc-type shoes with holes are not allowed) Job Description: - The position is in a 437-bed teaching hospital that is a member of a larger health system. - Expectation to complete modules during orientation, which is held once a month. - Required to follow compliance and start quickly due to orientation scheduling. - Modules are both non-billable and billable, completed during orientation and annually. - Candidates must have a permanent address at least 75 miles away from the facility. Please note: Local rates apply to candidates defined as living within 75 miles of the facility. Successful candidates should be prepared for travel assignments and comply with health and vaccine requirements.
