About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery/OB/GYN Job Duration: Not specified Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Previous OB/LD experience required License: Current RN licensure required Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - EMR experience - AWHONN certified - NRP certification Job Description: - Prescribe and coordinate professional nursing care for assigned obstetrics patients. - Carry out responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. - Work in an 8-bed LDRP unit with an annual delivery rate of over 350 babies. - Cross-trained in all aspects of obstetrical care within the Birthing Suite. - Collaborate with a well-established OB/GYN and pediatric group in a team environment. - Assess, plan, organize, supervise, provide, and evaluate nursing care utilizing the nursing process. - Ensure a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during active labor and 1:2/3 for mother/baby care. - No Operating Room/C-Section knowledge required. - Support a wide range of birthing options from natural childbirth to full epidural anesthesia, available 24 hours a day. - Provide personalized nursing care and individual attention to patients during labor. - Opportunities for career advancement and continuing education support available. - Benefits package may include health insurance, dental insurance, life and long-term disability insurance, retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacations and holidays.
