About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery/OB/GYN Job Duration: Shift: Nights, 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Previous experience in OB/LD required License: Current RN licensure required Certifications: NRP Certification required; STABLE Certification required; AWHONN Certification preferred Must-Have: EMR experience required Job Description: - Coordinate and deliver professional nursing care for assigned obstetrics patients. - Operate independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practices and hospital policies. - Seek daily challenges and learning opportunities. - Work in an 8-bed LDRP unit that delivers over 350 babies annually. - Cross-train in all aspects of obstetrical care within the birthing suite. - Collaborate with a team of well-established OB/GYN and pediatric professionals. - Assess, plan, organize, supervise, provide, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process. - Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 1:1 in active labor and 1:2 or 1:3 for mother/baby. - Provide individualized care to accommodate various birthing options, from natural childbirth to epidural anesthesia, available 24 hours a day. - Engage in a supportive work environment that offers equitable wages and benefits, opportunities for advancement, and encourages continuing education.
