TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Bronx, New York, 10457 Pay Information $2,300 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room Nursing Job Duration: 9 months Shift: 3x11.5, Nights (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ER RN experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (Mandatory) Must-Have: Ventilator experience; ability to work in a fast-paced environment Job Description: - Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognize, identify, and interpret serious situations, prioritize actions, and make immediate decisions. - Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when a physician is not immediately available. - Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and cardiac monitors. - Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including medications and IV therapy that alter hemodynamic status, and respiratory therapy. - Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and coordinate activities between nursing and other professional disciplines. - Document specific health care requirements for patients and prepare written assignments for individual team members, aligning staff skills with patient care needs. - Plan and develop care delivery and implementation of the care plan, and coordinate documentation of care. - Share responsibilities for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, general upkeep of the unit, and preserving a safe environment. - Awareness of the possibility of floating to ICU and MS units. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Scrubs: Red - Must work every other weekend and holidays.
