Certification Details
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
- Accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
Job Details
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA).
- Current ACLS (AHA).
- Current PALS (AHA).
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting, E.R. setting preferred.
Job Requirements
- Required - Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
- Valid Picture ID (State Driver's License, Passport, or State ID Card)
- American Heart Association certifications are required for specific positions: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, Fire Card, MAB, RDMS, etc.
- Must score 80% or better on required competency exams and are generally required within 1 year of start.
- Specific facility documents are needed such as job descriptions, attestation, EMTALA manual & acknowledgment, and Behavioral Prevention with CDC.
