- A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced ER/Emergency Room RNs for a travel assignment.
- - Unit: ED / Trauma
- - # beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)
- - Ratios: 1:4 ratio
- - EMR: Cerner
- - Charge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load.
- - Nurse Aides: 4-PCTs for sitters.
- - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center, Spinal Cord TBIN certification. 88,000 patients per year, 250-300 per day.
Job Details
- The right candidate will have 2 years of experience.
- candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting. 2 attempts
- **NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS**
- **MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF TRAUMA LEVEL 1 EXPERIENCE; WILL SCREEN 8 MONTHS+**
- **MUST HAVE CERNER EXPERIENCE, PLEASE NOTE ON RESUME UNDER WORK HISTORY TO CONFIRM HOW RECENT**
Job Requirements
- - Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a
- - Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion
- - Floating: Float within ER.
- - Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on the floor.
Schedule Information
- - Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- - Preferred Certs: TNCC and ATCN
- ENPC not allowed to replace PALS Cert
- - Scrub Color: Navy
Unit Specific Information
- - Tele: Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips.
- - Vents: Managed by RT
- - Hospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized. Anesthesia
- - IV Team: Core RNs are US trained.
- - RT 24/7: Yes
- - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs/day
