Job Details

- Must be willing to cross train into other specialties if CV volumes are low
Job Requirements
- Shifts: 0645-1515 Monday-Friday
- Call schedule made by CV RNs as a group
- Weeknight Call: 1-2 times per week 1515-0645
- Weekend Call: every 3-4 weeks Fri 1515-Mon 0645
- Holiday Call: Rotating holidays
- Call response time: 15 minutes
- Sleep room available for post call
Schedule Information
- Unit: CVOR
- Shift Supervisor: Charge Nurse for all shifts 7am-11pm M-F; weekends 7am-7pm; manager until 4pm M-F
- Number of CVOR suites: 2
- Average number of cases per day: 1-3
- Types of cases: Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, utilizing Stryker towers
- Orientation details: 3-4 days hospital clinical orientation, EPIC class, and unit orientation/modules; 4-5 days unit-based orientation; 2 buddy call shifts
- Orientation is flexible based on recent heart experience
Unit Specific Information
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates may not be currently working at any facility associated with CommonSpirit
