About The Position
Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), NIH Certification Must-Have: None specified Description: Patients are treated for conditions such as cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest. The unit serves young adults through late adults, ages 18 and up. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. The core staffing plan includes registered nurses and patient care technicians. An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Candidates must hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
