Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree or associate's degree in medical technology
Experience: must have a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience
License: ASCP
Certification: BLS

Job Description:

• Collect, prepare, and process specimens for routine testing or for referral to an external laboratory.
• Perform and monitor routine and specialized laboratory tests in microbiology, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and serology.
• Conduct quality control on equipment, reagents, and test results, troubleshooting issues as needed to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Follow laboratory policies and safety protocols, including infection control and use of personal protective equipment.
• Accurately interpret test results, recognizing abnormal findings, and complete detailed laboratory reports in a timely manner.
• Provide laboratory services that address age-specific needs (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric) in a respectful, professional manner.
• laboratory specimen collection, processing, testing and reporting services for eligible patients (pediatrics, adults, and elderly)
