**Shift:** Night shift: 10-hour shift, 9:00 pm - 7:30 am, 8 days on, 6 days off (Wednesday to Wednesday) after orientation. Orientation will be on day shift from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday for approximately 6 weeks.

**Job Description:**
- Determine suitability of specimens and orders by verifying patient demographic information and receipt documentation.
- Recognize and troubleshoot erroneous, inconsistent, and special orders.
- Organize and prioritize workload to provide services as needed, avoiding repetition of work and incident reports.
- Perform routine and special procedures accurately according to policy and procedure manuals, evaluating results for correctness.
- Recognize abnormal test results and perform appropriate problem-solving procedures in a timely manner.
- Provide age-appropriate care by following established technical protocols, using appropriate instrumentation, and interpreting results based on normal ranges.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and STAT requests, providing necessary services without delay.
- Assist other employees in troubleshooting specimen problems and errors, ensuring performance meets established turnaround times.
- Communicate any quality control problems or exceptional cases to the appropriate supervisor or professional staff, maintaining documentation of clinical information.
- Operate equipment including PCs, cell washers, blood analyzers, gamma cell irradiator, microscopes, centrifuges, water baths, and agglutination viewers.
