Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Interventional Radiologist to join our healthcare team. The Interventional Radiologist will be responsible for performing minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging technologies such as X-ray, ultrasound, CT, or MRI. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions, including vascular diseases, tumors, and other internal issues, while ensuring the highest standard of patient care. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interventional radiology, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of interventional procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, biopsy procedures, tumor ablations, and drainage placements.
- Interpret diagnostic images such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds to plan and guide interventional procedures.
- Diagnose conditions and diseases based on imaging findings, patient history, and clinical data, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to provide comprehensive patient care, including pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure follow-up.
- Ensure patient safety by maintaining a sterile field, administering contrast agents, and adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Educate patients on procedures, potential risks, and post-procedure care to ensure informed consent and reduce patient anxiety.
- Supervise and mentor radiology technicians and support staff, ensuring optimal workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide continuous monitoring of patient status throughout the procedure, including vital signs and sedation levels, while adjusting techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedure details, imaging results, and patient responses in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Keep abreast of advancements in interventional radiology, participating in ongoing education, research, and professional development opportunities.
