Job Details

Level 1 trauma and Siemen's experience is required
Staff will be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with BWH as needed.
Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental protocol.
Explains exam to patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintains ethical standards.
Delivers patient care under scope of license / training.
To notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.
Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam.
Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist.
Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's.
May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students within the department.
Prepare the equipment room and supplies necessary for each patient and daily use.
To acknowledge and participate in research programs, quality assurance and quality improvement projects.
To assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and remain flexible in shift coverage and overtime situations.
Rotates within department, divisions and off site clinics, by shifts as required and cooperates with all personnel.
Transport and transfer patients using established procedures according to departmental guidelines.
Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative under pressure when performing patient exams.
Performs all other duties as directed.

Job Requirements

Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology.
Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license.
Be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
Be Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
Must meet and maintain the ARRT CT certification.
2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred.
At least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses preferred.
Must have interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients.

Additional Details

A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series is required. No exemptions or waivers will be considered.
Influenza vaccine required during flu season.
