- This position will be for a nights weekend schedule CT / X-Ray Tech Weekends Schedule position - 7p-7a - Fri, Sat, Sun
- Technologist will operate as a multi modality tech (CT and XR)
- Required to perform CT, X-ray, Fluoro, C-arm
- May be required to rotate weekends and take call
- Siemens Go Top CT Scanner
- Konica X-ray Equipment
- EPIC
- McKesson PACS
- Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques
- Administers x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- May be required to alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call
- May be asked to flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned sites(s)
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and participating in projects as requested
- Depending on site assigned, may also be required to perform radiographer job duties
- Performs diagnostic CT procedures
- If assigned radiographer job duties, also performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams
- Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist
- Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety
- Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures
- Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary
- Practices aseptic technique as necessary
- Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access
- Initiates basic life support action when necessary
- Provides patient education
- Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area
- Provides practical instruction for students and partners
- Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers
- Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients
