About the Job
Empire Coach Line, a leading motorcoach operator based in Central Florida, is seeking a highly skilled Safety & Training Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our passengers, drivers, and employees while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Safety & Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety and training programs to improve the overall safety culture of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage safety and training programs for drivers and employees.
- Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage insurance claim process related to accidents and incidents.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify safety and training needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, laws, and industry standards.
- Develop and deliver safety and training programs to enhance the safety culture of the organization.
- Conduct accident investigations and ensure that corrective actions are taken to prevent future incidents.
- Administer discipline for safety-related violations, as necessary.
- Identify training needs and conduct proactive safety-related training.
- Provide technical input and insight into regulatory requirements for other departments within the company.
- Develop and manage a process for Driver Log audit and corrections, including electronic logs.
- Maintain records of all safety and training activities.
- Other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Transportation Safety, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the Charter Bus or Transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
