PAY: $95,000 - $120,000+ DOE

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Transportation Manager to support operations for a grocery distribution company. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their leadership and operational skills with a quickly growing organization!
- Oversee routing, dispatching, and tracking of transportation vehicles.
- Assign and manage the work of transportation staff members to ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner maintaining quality and integrity.
- Promote and exemplify a safe work environment by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members to discuss areas of improvement.
- Maintain fleet and supporting equipment including maintenance, repair, and replacement including all licensing and registration requirements.
- Maintains company compliance regarding permitting and regulations along with monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Determine causes of transportation injuries or accidents using root cause analysis methods in cooperation with government agencies.
- Responsible for recruitment and annual employee performance reviews.
- Analyze financial information to develop plans, policies, and budgets for improved profits and services.
- Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in transportation management.
- Holds valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain a professional, positive demeanor while providing excellent communication
- Working knowledge of FMCSR and State Regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- CDL preferred
- Prior leadership experience desired
