We are currently seeking a highly motivated Transportation Engineer located in Los Angeles, CA
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required
Required Licenses/Certification:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in all aspects of Roadway Engineering Design
- Hands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer
- Hands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering software such as Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience should include roadway projects, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous City of LA project experience
Responsibilities:
- Schedule / Chair / Develop Meeting Minutes for ATMP landside shareholders
- Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of infrastructure and /roadway projects
- Proficient at CAD / Oversee the work of CAD Designers
- Create base mapping CAD file based on records search
- Mapping of existing utility constraints with recommendation for proposed relocations
- Prepare concept level designs for roadway projects - determine the extent of widening / curb / gutter / sidewalk / path locations / drainage / bus stops / ADA compliance, etc.
- Participate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase
- Evaluate sequential phasing and interface with other ongoing and future projects
- Prepare quantity estimates and ROM cost estimates
