Transportation Class A Driver
The Transportation Driver will be responsible for transporting materials to specified destinations. Drives truck to and from destinations by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in local area. Load truck and verifies load against shipping documents and applicable ship-outs. May be required to operate forklifts to load and offload material from trucks. Prepare and maintains paperwork for pickups and deliveries. Perform other related duties assigned by supervisor. Will work with internal/external employees to ensure that they receive the proper material and maintain a log of what was delivered.
• Must have in possession and maintain throughout term employment, a valid Class A Florida Driver License.
• Must have 2-3 years of CDL truck driving experience.
• Possess a Current DOT Physical Card.
• Possess a clean driving record.
• Must provide Florida DMV Printout.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain Defense BioMetrics Identification System (DBIDS) credentials throughout term of employment.
• Must be able to work with others and have good customer services internal and externally.
• Will be required to drive all sizes of trucks up to a Semi pulling an 80,000 Trailer.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must comply with safety/OSHA rules and requirements.
• Must comply with company instructions, and guidelines.
• Ensure no load capacities of material handling equipment are exceeded.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Carry other tasks as assigned by craft management and/or supervisors.
