About the Job
McCormick Taylor is seeking Entry Level Civil Engineers to join our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. The primary duties of the Civil Engineer are to serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/bridge projects.
- Work under the guidance of experienced project engineers/managers
- Able to work on multiple design projects concurrently
- Perform field inspections and assessments of transportation infrastructure.
- Will assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction. This will include plans, specifications and cost estimates
Job Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Have basic engineering calculations and design skills
- Knowledge of roadway design elements, standards, and constructability methods
- Willing and capable of performing field work and have a valid driver’s license
- Efficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Strong communications and technical writing skills
- Ability to work on multiple assignments
- EIT certification preferred
- Working knowledge of CADD specifically Bentley MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads are a plus
