Reports to: Transportation Manager
Overview: Provides support for all company transportation and logistics needs. Finds the best pricing and best carriers to use for each load, works with the operations team to schedule the carrier, verifies timely completion of the load, ensures that revenue and cost are accurately coded and completed in a timely manner.
Essential Duties:
- Gather all necessary information related to fleet units in preparation for unit moves.
- Process loads via TMS, monitor progress, and communicate with customers regarding status.
- Coordinate with make ready shops and field personnel to ensure successful product movement and delivery.
- Oversee loading of compressors at shops and field locations when necessary.
- Maintains Global Fleet Database package dimensions and weights.
- Research all modes of transportation to ensure the most expedient and cost-effective carrier for each specific requirement.
- Plan inbound/outbound movements, monitor RFQ process in TMS, and negotiate / award loads as per established guidelines.
- Ensure all inbound/outbound unit transportation charges are billed by carriers, review invoices for accuracy, and assign GL coding to invoices for internal movements.

Ability to:

Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of domestic transportation coordination and movement.
- Basic understanding of transpiration laws and regulations, including knowledge of legal/oversized loads and permitting.
- Understanding of compressor sizes and equipment required to safely move each.
Minimum Education and Certification:
- Two years of college or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation / Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver license and clear driving record.
Minimum Experience:
- Typically 3-5 years supply chain experience.
Leadership:
- May serve as a resource to others with less experience.
