About the Job
The Transportation Analyst supports day to day operations in the Transportation department. Monitors and supports the day-to-day execution of KPI's, key business insights, proactive exception management, risk mitigation, and financial performance.
Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, the Transportation Analyst will support best in class On Time Performance for Stock Transfer and Customer orders balancing cost & service, optimizing the information flow & structural processes between Sales, Distribution Facilities, Quality, Customer Service teams, our 3PL's, and our customers.
Transportation AnalystResponsibilities
- Monitors and supports daily execution of transportation related objectives and KPI's to ensure transportation performance is constantly met
- Joins daily Distribution Center execution calls and supports transportation related tasks and follow ups
- Joins and supports Plant warehousing in daily execution and transportation related tasks and follow ups
- Collaborate with our 3PL shuttle provider on daily execution and exception management protocols
- Effectively partner with all key internal/external clients to ensure all functions are performing at established levels of performance
- Become a subject matter expert for Stock Transfer and Customer Outbound shipments
- Identify improvement areas within various workstreams with external/internal stakeholders, form a solution strategy, presenting findings, and rollout action plans
- Ensure a modern supply chain strategy is developed that supports the company's overall strategic business plan and performance objectives, as well as customer expectations
- Understand and oversee the execution of best-in-class logistics/transportation services
- Perform special projects and ad hoc requests as required
Transportation Analyst Requirements:
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Curious Nature - critical thinking and problem solving are critical for this role

- Capability to translate data analysis into insights and action
- Ability to "sell" ideas to gain buy in from stakeholders
- Ability to clearly communicate cross-functionally to all levels of an organization
- Comfort and poise presenting to Senior Leadership and External Customers
- Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize amidst ambiguity
- Familiarity with PowerQuery for Excel
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Ability to provide meaningful insights and execute solutions
- Results oriented, focused on getting the best results possible
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, STEM, or combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years' of experience in key supply chain areas such as, but not limited to, transportation, procurement or supply chain
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge in E2open (formerly BluJay) and SAP (ECC) is preferred
