Transport Refrigeration Technician
Transport Refrigeration Technician Opportunity Summary: CT Power has immediate openings for Transport Refrigeration Technicians at our Cleveland facility. We are seeking both experienced and entry-level technicians to join our team, working in our service shop and from mobile service trucks. A strong technical and mechanical background is essential. While experience with diesel engines and HVAC systems is highly desirable, we are willing to train the right candidate! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration units and auxiliary power units in trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance services and inspection.
- Work from mobile service trucks to provide on-site repairs and maintenance.
- Assembles structural and functional components of the refrigeration systems, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Complete, maintain, and submit accurate paperwork for repair orders and work performed.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Able to abide by CT Power, The W.W. Williams Company, and Carrier Sales and Service's procedures and policies.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certifications preferred but not required.
- One to three years of transport refrigeration, diesel, automotive, or HVAC technician experience, preferred.
- Strong mechanical/technical background.
- Own a set of general tools.
- Ability to work with diagnostic software and computers for troubleshooting, training, and other required activities.
- Physical ability to perform the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various environments.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
