The Senior Product Manager will assume ownership of Transport.net, GMR’s next generation medical transport management solution. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating and documenting the real business needs of customers and other stakeholders and translating those needs into extraordinary software solutions that place a heavy emphasis on quality, reliability and user experience. The Senior Product Manager serves as the conduit between business leadership, the customer community and the engineering team and will ensure that our evolving technology platform consistently drives improvements to the performance, quality and safety of the mission critical EMS services we deliver.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Product Team, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and excellence
- Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, leveraging their strengths and expertise to achieve shared goals
- Maintain product vision and strategy artifacts
- Take full ownership of the product backlog, as well as issue and enhancement triage and orchestrate an ongoing prioritization process
- Manage discovery with stakeholders to elaborate “what” & “why” creating Quick Scope docs for new epics and features
- Oversee the translation of business needs into epics, features and stories through stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, surveys, workflow analysis, etc.
- Act as the domain expert to the engineering team, ensuring features are implemented in a way that is consistently faithful to the underlying need and ensuring that the team is never blocked by ambiguous business requirements
- Help define and enforce a vision and cohesive set of principles that will govern the evolution of our platform to ensure high alignment between our products and our customers core business needs
- Coordinate user acceptance testing on completed features to ensure the continuous flow of low defect, high impact value to the business
- Coordinate efforts to ensure defects and enhancements are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
- Work closely with developers and vendors for resolution on defects and coordination of testing efforts
- Establish and maintain a strong, consistent feedback loop with customer representatives and other stakeholders to ensure our products evolve along with our customers’ needs
- Monitor feature usage and periodically coordinate user testing to surface training gaps, usability improvements, or other measures that may be necessary to ensure our software is fully and appropriately utilized by customers
- Coordinate the preparation of release notes, training materials such as end user documentation, cheat sheets, screencasts, etc.,
- Ensure that our product meets or exceeds industry regulations and standards such as HIPAA & SOC II
- Research and report on product related customer comments/complaints
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
- 3-5 years’ experience in a product management or comparable role
- Extensive knowledge and experience in use case/feature definition
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and a solid understanding of
Agile development principals
- Certification as SAFE Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) and/or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
- Prior experience in the healthcare and/or medical transport industry preferred
